چکیده

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS I am very grateful to my advisor Dr. A. Srivastava for his great guidance, patience and research attitude for this work. His classes and knowledge are very helpful for me to understand the filed of VLSI and Nanotechnology, moreover, he also gave me financial support for one year. I would like to thank Dr. Wanjun Wang and Dr. Hsaio-Chun Wu for being a part of my committee. Dr. Wu also gave me suggestions during these years constantly. Mr. Golden who is the manager in EMDL also helped me a lot in the fabrication. Dr. P. Chen gave me a great opportunity to work in his lab during the third year. I am very thankful to my friends Siva and Jose for their extensive help through my graduate studies at LSU. I also take this opportunity to thank my friends Abhishek Rohit, for their help and encouragement at times I needed them. I would also like to thank all my friends here who made my stay at LSU an enjoyable and a memorable one.

Theoretical Study on the Chemical Reactivity in the Armchair Single-walled Carbon Nanotube: Proton and Methyl Group Transfer

Proton transfer (PT) and methyl group transfer (MGT) occurring in small biomimetic systems, Formamide-Formamidic acid (FA-FI), and N-formyl-N-methylformamide-(E)-methyl N-formylformimidate (NMFA-NMFI) are investigated in the gas phase and in single-walled carbon nanotubes by using the density functional theory and the ONIOM approach. It is shown that PT reaction is disfavoured in single-walled ...

Functionalization and Fabrication of MWCNT on Screen Printed Carbon Eletrode

Carbon nanotubes (CNT) are one of the most widely used nonmaterials. It is applied in various fields due to its special physical characteristics, excellent electronic performance and stable chemical activity. There are two types of CNT occur (a) Single walled carbon nanotube (b) Multiwalled carbon nanotube. As their names shows, SWNTs consist of a single, cylindrical graphene layer, where as MW...

Development and Fabrication of Carbon Nanotube (CNT) based Morphological and Electrical Characterization

This paper presents the development and fabrication of carbon nanotube (CNT) based sensor devices through morphological and electrical characterization. The silicon oxide (SiO2) as insulator is formed by dry oxidation process and Aurum (Au) layer is deposited using thermal evaporator. Then, the electrodes pattern is transferred by photolithography process. The single-walled carbon nanotubes (SW...
